Honoring a literacy volunteer
Today was a great day when my NSDAR Aloha Chapter (Regent Christine Domhoff and I) were able to honor a fellow literacy volunteer. Here are pictures and award information from the presentation of our chapter’s DAR Literacy Champion Award Certificate to volunteer Lillian Yoshimura, who was honored at Hawaii Kai Public Library Community Bookstore’s “Volunteer Appreciation Day” luncheon today, for her efforts in helping in the creation of this beloved community bookstore 10 years ago and helping to bring it to its popularity today.
